We love wine, what better way to celebrate my besties Birthday than a day in Woodinville Wine Country, wine “tasting”. Woodinville is the hotspot for touring and tasting Washington Wines. Tasting rooms have been rapidly popping up all over wine country in the last few years. Woodinville is now home to over 150 wineries, tasting rooms and wine bars. The Warehouse District just a few minutes outside downtown Woodinville is home to 40 wineries and about 8 tasting rooms, and all are walking distance to each other.
We were chauffeured to both tasting rooms and wineries around Woodinville. Here is a taste at what our lineup looked like..
Alexandria Nichole Cellars- located in the lower level of the Hollywood Schoolhouse, has a great wine tasting selection where you can choose 5 of any of their wines to taste from. Has a $5 tasting fee that can be applied to bottle purchase.
Matthew’s Cellars Winery- Outdoor picnic benches & wine flights to choose from! Great indoor tasting space, but on a summer day, picnic tables are a win.
Januik/Novelty hill- they have a mini selection of cheese, hummus, deli meats (if you like meat) crackers, and spreads for purchase so you can take a bottle and go sit outside. Their outdoor seating is big, so you have lots of space to choose from, they even have a bocce ball court.
Chateau St Michelle- has a tasting room indoors and when that is too busy there is a very large outdoor area, you can buy flights or buy bottles and wine outside. We got bottles and sat outside on a blanket and enjoyed our last wine stop in the sun.
